Questions families ask first
Do we need a formal dyslexia diagnosis to start?
No. A diagnosis can be helpful, but it isn't required to begin tutoring with Laura Sweet.
How long do students usually work with you?
Most families work with us for one and a half to three years, typically twice weekly. Pace varies — that's the point.
Is online really as effective as in-person?
Yes. Our online lessons use the same multisensory tools, adapted for the screen, and many families prefer the flexibility.
What ages do you work with?
Primarily ages 6 to 14, though we'll talk about every child individually.
How will I know if my child needs help?
If reading feels disproportionately hard, or your gut says something's off, the free Discovery Session is the easiest next step.
Will you coordinate with our school?
Happily. With your permission, Laura Sweet shares progress notes and collaborates with teachers and intervention specialists.
